The Red Apple of the Byzantine and Ottomans emphasised the desire for world domination. The Red Apple, is a militaristic myth that symbolises political ambitions for the conquest of Constantinople and the establishment of a world empire. This was seen as the "most extreme frontier," a near-mythical quest filled with mystique, legend, and prophecy.

In the Quest for the Red Apple — the Jacks opposes a direct clash with the Nation State. First, because it's a spectacular and violent pursuit. And second, the nation state is a sinking ship, crumbling under its own weight, convulsing, flailing wildly as it nears its end. The anarchist question in this case should then be: why bother to confront a "power" that's lost its substance and turned into mere cold deceptive simulation. Such showdowns only would spark nasty bouts of violence from the mindless goons who have somehow ended up with the keys to all the weapons and prisons.

From this vantage point, the best tactic is to avoid this spectacular violence, and instead, to disappear. Disappearance is a useful strategy as the uprising — the always ongoing revolution of everyday life. This struggle does not stop, not even when the latest political and social revolution fails. Because unless the world comes to a screeching halt, everyday life, along with out dreams for an extraordinary life will always carry on.

For the Jacks, disappearance as a tactic seems to be a very radical option for our time. Jacks symbolise and embody certain dialectics of refusals/ambushes that hint of this radical culture of disappearance. It would be something that Jacks are not always aware about, yet its impact is undeniably strong, influencing more people than traditional leftist or anarchist philosophies ever could.

The dialectics of refusals/ambushes are direct actions taken against the system and might appear negative at first glance. But every negative gesture also hints at a reconstructive counter move — an ambush. An ambush is a positive tactic that implies the potential capacity for collective action, aiming not just to distribute the Gift (implement unequal basic income) by abolishing land slavery and sabotaging carbon flows but to abolish the predatory nation state and it's cutthroat machinery of late-stage capitalism.

Seen from this angle, disappearance does not equate to disaster, unless you're thinking in mathematical terms, where it implies a swift and dramatic shift in the personal topography. All tactical ambushes we have outlined involve varying degrees of disappearance, direct actions that slip unnoticed through the shadows. Disappearance becomes an ideal strategy for a time when the nation state seems to be everywhere, all-powerful, yet oddly full of holes and voids. Starting 0ASIS may require a mix of forceful and defensive moves, but its real power comes from its ability to stay invisible.

In short: 0ASIS is a liminal encampment for guerrilla ontologists: the Jacks. Their strategy is simple, make a move and then blend into ethereal darkness. The whole tribe needs to keep shifting, even if their trace is just inscriptions on the Bitcoin timechain. The aim of the Jacks, as guerilla ontologists, is to be agents of destruction, imaginal jihadists and involutionary fighters disrupting history and countervailing its violence. This is best done by tactically ambushing the power flows of the nation state and poetically terrorising the machinery of civilisation, rather than head-on armed assaults which only result in increased intensities of violence from civilisation and its agents.

Jacks have to be ready to defend themselves, yet their actions, both offensive and defensive, should steer clear of the futile violence of the failing nation state. Their "jihad" is imaginal, and is aimed at the structures of control and the show of power, essentially counter-hegemony art of "smashing idols" and shooting the "cop in the head." Their defence? The martial art of invisibility and the pursuit of invulnerability, an occult art with the martial arts of invisibility.

Jacks live "outside" the reach of control and definition. It's beyond the confines of the State's understanding or even its field of vision. It escapes the trap of being pinned down by a name and it's predatory gaze. Like a nomadic war machine, the Jacks conquers territory without being noticed and moves on before anyone can pin them down, a guerrilla operation which liberates an area of land, of time, of desire, evading the gaze of the Nation State.
